Togo 2010

When I was seven I was watching a movie on Rwanda, gorillas in the mist. That day I decided to work with monkeys in the rainforest like Dian Fossey when I am grown-up. When I was 21 I travelled through East Africa, long forgotten my childhood dream. When I came to Rwanda during this trip in 1999, I saw a Dian Fossey poster in the ORTPN tourist office in Kigali showing the Gorillas. I remembered the movie and my childhood’s dream. In 2004 I applied for a job in Senegal and I got it. A few months later, my company told me I had to go to Rwanda instead of Senegal. I accepted. So now I am back to Rwanda. The place I was dreaming of when I was a child. I believe that sometimes things are predicted to come the way they come, and you should not question but just go with them. (Rwanda 2005)
